Sound or Music in Powerpoint slides

I seem to be able to insert sounds or music (from MS Design Gallery), but
when I send the powerpoint slideshow to someone else, they don't get the
sound or music. I make sure thier sound is on and volume is up, but they
just don't get the sound. What am I doing wrong?
