can anyone recommend a good website to download free wav
files, i'm looking for sound effects to use as alarms, at
least a few minutes in length, thanks!

believe it or not it's been hard to find what i'm looking
for, i want an alarm wav file that lasts for at least 5
minutes, most of them on these free websites are a few
seconds long, any tips on where to find this?

Good luck!

Get a microphone, plug it in to your sound card, open Sound Recorder, record
an alarm sound. If the time isn't long enough, string together with
something like ASXMaker.

it's a great idea but i dont have a microphone and dont
plan on getting one, it seems it shouldnt be that hard to
find a free wav file on the net that is at least 5 minutes
or more long that is just an alarm or beeping sound, but
my kung fu isn't good enough to find one, any
bodhisattva's out there willing to send me one? :)

I've never seen anything like that anywhere near that long.

You can buy a microphone for a couple of dollars. Or you should
be ab;le to take a shorter wav file, replicate it multiple times
and string them together using a tool like the one Will suggests.

Sorry, Wes. Despite your name being clearly quoted below, for
some reason I was thinking of Will Denny.

Ken, Yeah, I'm really not too handy with that sort of
thing, despite the last hour of effort to accomplish it,
if you or if you know of a source that can provide such a
wav file i would be eternally grateful :)

Sorry, I don't have anything for you. Manybe somebody else does,
but if I were you, in this days of viruses, I'd be very wary
about accepting a file from someone you just met on the internet
and really don't know.

A better choice might be to ask a knowledgeable friend to help
you create what you want.
