Sound driver problem

This is a really strange problem I have with my sound driver. every time I
start my computer back up after shutting it down, the sound driver is not
there, and every time i have to uninstall the sound driver, and then
re-install the sound driver again. The driver is always present in my system
so I never need any CD's or software to re-install it, it automatically
re-installs it for me, and everything is fine after that. I never have to toy
with it again until i shut the computer down for the day and then power it
back up the next day. How would I stop my computer from doing this?

Mike, if you have a onboard audio chip built into the Motherboard is it
enabled in the Bios? To enter the Bios usually hitting
the Delete Key works though it differs on Brand Name Computers such as
Dell, HP etc. Look in your Manual if uncertain.
