Sound Dissapears when load Graphics Driver

Hi all.
I have had vista HP for 6 months, my system has worked for that time, but
had to replace my motherboard due to graphics problems.

when i loaded new graphics for new motherboard from CD(for vista) the sound
stopped.
i have tried:
*rolling back graphics, sound comes back. tried vista recommended
graphics, sound goes. went to nvidia got recommended graphics(v169.1) and no
sound.
*reinstalled Vista(formatted drive!) sound ok,but small screen
resolution(600*800) soon as i loaded any of 4 graphics drivers, sound gone!

im using my TV speakers through 3.5mm standard mic jack, Has been this way 6
months working fine, DVI to HDMI connection to LCD TV. 720p quality.
amd 4400,with 256meg inbuild graphics, Nvidia7 series. Vista HP sp1.i have
No fibre optic out with new mobo. standard 2 channell system out. i tried
front green jack(vista failed to recognise as speakers)

yes speakers are enabled, all tests work, just no sound. in device
manager/sound i see the speakers, i have updated realtek sound HD drivers,no
sound.

i think:
a) mobo is bad
b) something somewhere is changing a setting so my sound wount come out, just
dont know where! tried vista FAQ,none solved.

cheers!

My guess would be an IRQ conflict. It will be easy to find out if I'm right.
Click Start orb, type msinfo32.
Hardware/conflicts.
I don't know what you can do about it if we are finding an IRQ in use by
graphic and sound, but you need to look into that. It's the only answer
beyond magic new drivers ;/

When U update Realtek, it first removes old drivers and then reboots,
BUT you then have to run SETUP again to install the new drivers. You
also then need to go back in via the the Realtek control panel (icon in
right hand of tray) and select your speaker config and test them.

As it seems you have onboard sound and onboard graphics, I assume you
have set these up in the BIOS setup?
