I am using Win XP, but can't seem to get my sound card to
work. System does not recognize the hardware. Sound
card is a used one I was told would work. What is
compatible with XP? Help

You need to check the Windows XP Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) to see if
the sound card you have is supported in XP. If it was manufactured in the
last couple of years it probably is supported.
