hi everyone,
i really hope onw of you brainiacs out there can help me,
i have recently had to format my hard drive (long story
but anyway!) and have now got everything up and running,
all that is except my sound card, i have installed the
drivers using the manufacturers cd-rom as i did the last
time (it worked fine then) and i keep geting the new
hardware found wizard saying that i need to install a
multimedia audio controller, i have tried doing this with
the disk that came with my sound card but it will not
wor, have tried visiting the manufacturers website for
help but there is nothing there

i have a Creative Soundblaster 16 PCI made by creative
and i run windows xp

i really hope you can help

Open add/remove programs,uninstall the software,then
open system,device mgr.,uninstall the card,reboot.
On restart, desktop, open windows update and let it install
the card.
