Sound Blaster Live 5.1 on XP

I just recently reinstalled windows XP and relized that xp could not
determine the sound card I had... as well as that the drivers
creative labs distros does not work b/c it cant find the card..> I
am really stuck could anyone help

Have you downloaded the newest driver from Creative's web site? There is a
driver for XP along with a patch file. If you haven't, go here:
http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/ and follow the instructions. It
could possibly help to un-install the older drivers before you start with
the newer version. HTH

Go to their website and download the current driver/software for the card.
I have that card and this XP System recognizes it.
