i have a creative sound blaster 5.1...i removed d windows xp that i earlier
had n installed a fresh copy of windows vista......d drivers that i gt in d
CD with the sound card worked very well with xp....i tried 2 install d
drivers from d cd that i got.....d setup said that d drivers are not made for
this version of windows...but i tried to install d drivers using the
compatibility wizard feature of vista..d drivers were installed....n d card
started working,...but when i restarted d pc...d blue screen error came....i
started d pc by 'starting in last good configuration mode'.....and restarted
d pc again....the blue screen again came...i thought it is due to the drivers
that i installed using the compatibility wizard.....i uninstalled the drivers
and then tried restarting the pc.....then everything went normal...this means
that the drivers aren't compatible with vista.....so can anyone help me what
to do??

how to make d drivers work with vista without any problems.....??

or can u give me any link that can gimme d drivers for my creative sound
blaster 5.1 compatible with vista??

my email id is (e-mail address removed)...

Using the search terms of "Creative Soundblaster 5.1 Vista drivers" in
Google this was the THIRD hit:

Did you do ANY searching AT ALL?

Sound Blaster Live and some other hardware devices from Creative were
abandoned as far as Vista support.

If you only have a SoundBlaster 5.1 PCI card then it is not a Live! 5.1 or
Audigy card and the driver workaround isn't for you. If there is no generic
MS driver provided in Vista that works with your card you might as well buy
a new sound card.

Creative lists the products that they support with drivers for Vista on this
page: - click on "Vista Driver Availability Chart ..."
