I have a series room numbers which are geographically sorted so that rooms
1-10 are in one block, 11-20 in another block etc. Sometimes there are ten
rooms in a block, sometimes just 2 or 3.
I have a report that has a grouping interval 10 and a small footer so that
each time the room numbers move to a different physical block a small gap
appears in the report.
This seems to work fine under Access 2000, but when I use a PC with Access
2003, I seem to have a problem ... The rooms are still grouped correctly, but
within a group they are no longer sorted correctly (by room number). The only
difference seems to be the version of Access being used.
Within the report, I have tried setting the report data sorting to [room
number], the underlying query sorts by room number, and the sorting is
correct if I remove the group interval.
It is as though under 2003 sorting within an interval is undefined!
Any suggestions would be welcome ...
Many thanks
