sorting alphabetically without folders on top

When I open a folder, I don't want the folders grouped together
alphabetically, and then the shortcuts/documents. I want everything
alphabetical, like this:

alpha.txt
bees (this is a folder)
candy (this is a shortcut)
Durt (this is a a folder)

How can I see a true alphabetical order of all the folder's contents?

If you choose
View| Arrange Icons by| Name , Show in Groups

the folders will be arranged in alpha order with the files, but each letter
will have a heading A B C etc

Thanks Trevor. A tad irritating to have the headings ( just means more
scrolling), but it works. However, I did notice that if you then click on
the Date Modified column, the files are not sorted correctly. For example,
under the "Last Month" heading, I get:
textfile 10/25/05
textfile 10/18/05
zipfile 10/07/05
textfile 10/16/05

Perhaps this warrants a different post?
