Sort Order of Deleted Items - Outlook 2003

Sorting Deleted items by date, I find a subject line I'm interested in and
highlight that line.

Next, clicking the subject header, the rows are sorted by subject, and the
email of interest is still highlighted.

Is there anyway to get the display sorted by Subject, Date? (There doesn't
seem to be any date order)

How would I setup Outlook to sort by date and group by subject?

With the folder in an ungrouped table view, click the Received column to
sort by date. Then click View>Arrange By>Current View>Show in Groups. Then
click the Subject column. It worked for me.
