I am doing a database of reports and specification. I have a column, where I
put te codes i.e. SW - for side walk, WA - for water, EL - electrical
distribution, TE- for telecommunication. Some of the reports contain two or
three or three topics, which mean, I need to put 2 to 3 code on it.

Question is there any way I can sort by code. I can email you my data to
know exactly what I want to.

Jay,
Since no one seems to have responded in a while, I'll give it a try. Go
ahead and email me at (remove spaces) HelpFrom @ jlathamsite.com with the
Excel workbook attached. Explain what it is you wish to do and I'll see what
we can come up with. I'm thinking that we may need to use some additional
'helper' columns to separate the codes into for sorting. That or perhaps a
little VBA macro to get the job done - if there is a problem with using a
macro, be sure and let me know so that I don't start down that path if
someone has some inate fear of them.
