I get an error message "Sorry, the page you requested is not available" with
IE 6.0. The address is
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...stomize&SLCID=US&sd=GN&id=fh;en-us;newsgroups,
WHICH IS THIS WEB SITE. :)

One my old computers it calls up the site fine. I then send the link to my
new computer, and when I click it the left margin window comes up fiind, by
the inside window has the "Sorry, the page you requested is not available"
message. I compared my IE 6.0 Internet Options/Advanced checks, and I cannot
spot a difference.

I welcome your suggestions as to what is causing this in my new computer
with XP Pro. The old computer uses Windows 2000. Both have IE 6.0

Check for a file named HOSTS with no extension (not Hosts.sam). It may be a
hidden file. Open it with Notepad and remove any line referencing the site.
Or, rename HOSTS to OLDHOSTS
