Sony VAIO Memory CAS Latency Question

A friend of mine has a Sony VAIO PCV-RX540 desktop PC with 256 megs of
RAM, and I want to upgrade her system to 512 megs.

According to Sony's specs for that system, the installed stick of
PC133 RAM has a CAS latency of 2; most of the RAM I've found so far is
either CAS 3 or doesn't specify the CAS latency.

Will it cause a problem if I combine a stick of CAS 3 memory with her
installed CAS 2?

If not, will any brand (or OEM) stick of memory that meets Sony's
specs be suitable for this computer, or is there a specific brand I
should use?

Thanks.

Go to memory manufacturer sites and use their memory selection tools to
find memory they recommend for your system or motherboard.
