Songs Make a Glich Sound - HELP!

I have recently installed XP Pro with SP2, as well as a second Hard Drive.

I've moved all my music files over to the new drive. But I have noticed that
whenever I am using other applications (like surfing the net, using Paint
Shop Pro) the songs will sometimes make a click/glitch sound.

From what I gather, its not the songs themselves, becuase when they are
played with nothing else running they seem fine.

Is this an issue with SP2?

The glitch sound that you describe happens because the system is busy.

When not performing other tasks your PC has no difficulty moving data off
the hard drive, into memeory, into the CPU and then out to sound card and
speakers and eventually becomes music.

When it's busy, moving other data around, occasionally the music will
'glitch' as it is waiting for data.
