Something is waking my computer

My XP screen saver, and monitor power save, are not
working because something is spontaneously waking my
computer.

The screen saver comes on and pipes start to draw them
selves. Then after about a minute or less, back to the
desktop even when I'm no where near the keyboard or mouse.

What can be waking my machine?

Do a ctl-alt-del and see what processes are running. Is the system on a network or internet? You may want to be sure you don't have a spyware app running something on your system, or worse, that your system is unbeknownst to you hosting a porn site. Download Ad-ware 6 (free) and see what is hidden on your system.

I've already checked for addware and spyware - none. I've
got lots of processes running but how do you know which
one jostled the computer out of the screen saver?
