Something in Systems Tray

Spyware program ran great for several days...Now puts
a "holder" in the systems tray when it runs. The "Box"
in the sys tray says "gcasDtServHolder"......I can not
close this box without restarting my machine....then it
reappears within an hour or so.

What is this?

I beleive its a bug in Microsoft Antispyware. A lot of
people are having this problem. It's still in Beta so this
is the chance you take.

OK now here is what i would try:
1. uninstall MS antispyware
2. Delete the files that the install came from
3. run(safe mode) spybot, adware personal ( and make
certain that "Search for negligible entries" and "Search
for low risk entries" are checked.
4. scan with panda's online scan
5. download the beta from MS
6. install it reboot
7. scan again. if that doenst work post back someone, come
up with something else

Good luck

Update VB v6 service Patch 6 using the following link...

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...61-7A9C-43E7-9117-F673077FFB3C&displaylang=en

If the problem persist, shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware from the notification
area, uninstall Microsoft AntiSpyware from Ad/Remove Program (Control
Panel), navigate to c:\program files and delete the Microsoft AntiSpyware
folder. Restart the system the reinstall.
