Someone gotto know about this problem

Problem:
When I log into my domain using my domain id (cb13425) it's associated with
myname John Smith, so when I log in I see my name 'John Smith' on top of my
start menu.
After sometime my name vanishes from the start menu and I see my id on that
(cb13425) and so after this happens I am thinking I am disconnected from my
domain and then I am not able to print on my printers access share dirves on
my domain............. nothing

I checked my event viewer and it had couple of application related
errors......


User --> NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Error --> Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer
network. (The specified domain either does not exist or could not be
contacted. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

User --> N/A
Error --> Automatic certificate enrollment for local system failed to
contact the active directory (0x8007054b). The specified domain either does
not exist or could not be contacted. Enrollment will not be performed.

User --> N/A
Information --> wuaueng.dll (1564) SUS20ClientDataStore: The database
engine stopped the instance (0).

User --> N/A
Information --> wuauclt (1564) The database engine stopped.

Does anyone know if these errors/warnings got to do with my problem, if yes
how can I correct it?

What I tried so far:
Within my domain, we use "Obtain DNS automatically" ........ I even tried
hard coding the DNS server address, but still no luck.

Try reposting this in microsoft.public.windows.server.active_directory. It
sounds like a group policy problem but I'm not an expert in AD. Try logging
in as a different domain user and see what happens. Can you log in with your
account on a different computer? Your account (either computer and/or user)
may not have permissions to read the group policy.
