Either
1. change the Display Settings to "Normal Size (96 DPI)" from 120 DPI
OR
2. change the registry
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"UseHR"=dword:00000000
OR
3. just leave it as is & never bother with
www.microsoft.com - (MY
EVENTUAL CHOICE, because o/w the fonts are too small)
OR
4. change the registry when you ever need to go to
www.microsoft.com
Maybe someday Microsoft & Dell & Web-Page Programmers will work out what
to do about this.
You will find there are MANY pages that ramp up the CPU & make your fan
turn on - such as
http://www.itworldcanada.com/ and just about ANY page
using that same background.
It seems it can even knock out my home router, so that I have to reset it.
I think I may have even found problems with Office Picture Manager if
too-complex images are in the My Pictures folder.
Dell needs to work on their Video driver, I think.
But Web developers should stay away from that background.
DELL Support should be intimately familiar with this - but is not.
