Some web sites not available to me.

Hi All,
I'm having problems with a couple of web sites only.
I have two computers on an home network both using I.E 6. I'm running both
computers through a router and have been for several months without trouble.
One of my computers started to get a problem with Ebay and submitting a bid
on an item. After entering a bid and clicking the submit button the next
page was a 'Page not found' error page. For some reason this also seemed to
slow the computer down and/or messed up any surfing to other pages as if it
had swamped the router. At the same time the other computer on the network
would be affected. Things could be remedied by switching off and on the
Router and/or computer. It may be helpful at this point to say I can only
submit a bid if I turn the router off then on before I click the submit
button.

I was willing to put up with this but now the other computer has also been
playing up in a similar fashion, in this case with a particular favourite
site. I can't connect to this site anymore at all, yet I can surf other
sites normally.

any ideas?

Have you run any SpyWare utilities? I found Pest Patrol
(http://www.pestpatrol.com) worked well for me. Also you can go to
http://www.download.com and search for Lavasoft's AdAware or SpyBot to name
just a few. Make sure you run the update to get the latest definitions and
then let it run.
