Some Web pages won't display...

I bought a new computer about 6 months ago, and since
then, I'm having an issue.

For some of the websites I visit often (like CBS
Sportsline or The Sporting News), after I type in the
address, the page loads, then I get a pop-up dialog that
says "Internet Explorer Cannot Open the Internet Site
http:\\sportingnews.com - Operation Aborted". When I
click okay, the dialog goes away and the web page changes
to "The Page Cannot Be Displayed." If I hit refresh and
then hit the stop button at just the right time, I can
view the web page but that's a hassle.

In the Internet options, if I disable all Scripting, the
page will load but this causes some errors and some other
web sites to not load. Is there something corrupt on my
computer? How can I fix this?

You might want to refresh your scripting engine:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/nhp/default.asp?contentid=28001169
or
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp
Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 2000 and XP
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...43-7e4b-4622-86eb-95a22b832caa&DisplayLang=en

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.
