Operation Aborted

I get the following error when trying to load certain web
pages. The page seems to load ok but then I get the
error 'Internet Explorer Could not open the internet site
Http://...Operation Aborted.' The page then changes
to 'Page cannot be dsiplayed'
It only seems to be a problem on my one machine all
others are fine. I may be a dns problem?
Windows XP with IE 6 sp1.

Suggestions?

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
