Hi,
1) Where is the default login script path?
2) And how can i change it?
3) Can i put an EXE file instead of a CMD or BAT file?
Thanks
Walter
For AD and AD clients (W2k or newer), there is no "default" path anymore.
But if you do have legacy clients, use the user account properties to
indicate a bat, cmd, vbs, etc file to run as a 'logon' script, which you
place in this folder below (which is shared out as "NETLOGON"):
c:\WINNT\SYSVOL\sysvol\domain.com\scripts
The idea with AD and using W2k or newer clients, is to use GPOs for startup,
logon, logoff, and shutdown scripts. If you have a mix of clients, you need
to keep in mind, any scripts or files you put in the above folder will
effect all of them and you may get mixed results using GPOs and the Netlogon
folder.
