some problems

I have a PIII, 500Mhz, 128 Mram, 20gig HD. Lately I've noticed Interner
Explorer crashes but only on certain web pages. Outlook Express has been
doing this also, but not as often. Also when I bring up task manager, it
closes within less than a second. I also cannot access MSCONFIG, unless this
is not available in XP. Help is appreciated.

Dude, it could be QHosts trojan as well as an older virus. Time for a
thorough scan. Visit the Symantec site. Time to get some A/V. Free antivirus
