Some options keep getting reset

If I go to Internet Options/Advanced/Browsing and select the option disable
script debugging and also unselect the option display a notification about
every script error, I find that after a while (possibly after restarting
computer) that these 2 options have been changed back. Anyone got any idea
what could be causing this? Cheers.

Hi Ex and Ted,

I answered a previous post about the same problem. It turned out that a
toolbar was reseting the script debugging options when it was loaded
(presumably the developer had forgotten to remove the debug code before
release). I have forgotten the name of the offending toolbar but you can
easily test by disabling Browser Helpers or disabling your toolbars one by
one. There is also Regmon which will monitor changes to specific registry
keys to identify the offending process.

Regards.

Options in several third-party applications may be disallowing the changes.
These include Ad-aware Pro's Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea Timer, SpywareBlaster,
Norton AntiVirus, McAfee VirusScan and/or Antispyware, and Zone Alarm.
