some of my programs require ad-ware to work

Some of the internet programs that I use require ad-ware
to work. However, I recently had to re-install Windows,(I
still use 98), now ads and certain pages will not load,
which in turn hinders some of my programs. Does anyone
have any suggestions? Please respond to

Find alternatives to the crapware you have installed that require
spyware/adware to run.
