Some incoming messages in different font

Some of the incoming messages are in a different font than others.
But when these messages are forwarded they look normal (arial, etc.)
to the recpients. Also, not all incoming messages have the font
(gothic something.) They look normal. How can I make them all have
the same font? thanks.

Incoming messages use the fonts the senders chose. You can't control that.

I was able to fix it by going to tools, options, mail format, fonts
and changing the broken font. It was "When composing and reading
plain text." The fonts were not in a font chosen by the sender. They
were being converted by the client after the incoming email arrived.
I don't know why that section of fonts fixed it, but it did.
