Some hyperlink types don't work

Hi, I'm running Windows XP, service pack 2. All latest patches applied.

IE6 seems to fail on some types of hyperlink. If the hyperlink points to an
HTTP URL it works OK and opens up a new window and loads the page no
problem. However if the hyperlink points to an FTP or HTTPS URL clicking it
has no effect - no new window opens up, nothing happens. If I
'manually' type in the same FTP URL into a browser window address bar then
it works fine.
