Some emails received in plain text

Emails from some of my correspondents are being received in plain text
including the heading & formatting information, as well as the attachments
(as photos interpreted as text characters), annexed to the email body.
Want any help, please.

Without any configuration information it is impossible to give any.

My outlook 2003 is configured as default.

I have already checked: Tools -> Options -> Email Format -> HTML (which, in
my outlook, is available to outgoing messages. It doesn't show any equivalent
option to incoming messages), as well as other common settings.

I have even included (see Article 278134 - How Outlook applies encoding to
plain text e-mails) a new key entry in my register:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Sofware\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options\Mail\<NewKey>
NewKey => InternetMailTextEncoding = o (Encode Intelligently), but nothig
happened.
