some anoying issues

hi how do i remove unwanted things from my task bar like
quick lanch and search assistant
 
You can right click on the task bar, go to the Toolbar item. Here you can
choose the item to be displayed or hidden.

Search Assistant sounds suspiciously like some kind of spyware that
may have been installed on its own... I would recommend getting a copy
of AD-AWARE and SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY and even CWSHREDDER to see
if those find anything...other than that, it appears that your
question ahs already been answered.
