Some advices and hints ...welcome

hello...
window xp pro

i have 2 hard drives.
C: as a primary bootable with operating system disc
and
D: as my secondary slave for storage disc

I will replace my C: Drive for larger 300GB seagate....and still keep
my D: drive as a secondary

could you please advice me how to preform this procedure or refer me
to the web page were i can find if possible step by step
references..jumpers settings itc...

p.s. i don't have any manuals or installation disc for this hard drive

Take a look at the Seagate website (if you have not done so already).
To get the jumper settings for your Seagate drive, start looking here

Seagate has DiscWizard program to help in copying to new drive.

I'd urge you to contact their support group if you did not get manuals or utility program.

If you can access both drives, jumpers are fine.

procedure of cloning a hdd.
I think the solution offered only works on seagate hdds (any1?) That
is fine for you. but you should know.
is your original C drive a seagate? i'm not sure if it matters. Perhaps
only the To drive has to be seagate.
