solver add-in

Does anyone know why i have to add-in solver every time i
go into excel? Shouldn't I only have to add it in once and
it should stay installed? This just started happening out
of the blue.

This is a Registry entry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER. If this is a work
computer, ask your IS people if they recently added protection to the
registry. Many programs require access to HKEY_CURRENT_USER to work
properly.

When you make changes to your Add-In list, the results are only written
to the Registry when you exit Excel. If Excel crashes, or you power off
the computer without exiting Excel, then the changes will not be saved
in the Registry.
