Solution list not in order?

The list of items in our solution is well in random order... is there any
way to sort this alphabetically? right now it makes finding items in a list
that has 50 projects in it tons of fun!.... thanks!

None that I'm aware of - however you might try to implement Solution
folders. Right click on your solution in the Solution Explorer, point
to Add - New Soultion Folder and organize your solutions this way.
Yeah - a ton of work up front - but can be used to better organize
your solutions.

Thats's where the problem is for us, solution folders... (well thats where
we noticed it at least) right now we have it organized by type of project,
etc.. but some of those folders have 20+ projects in them... this is a very
large application...

They are just normal VB projects in a solution... I found a bug on connect
that was posted after RTM of 2008 saying the same thing... others must be
seeing this also

Never noticed this but we are just using a few projects per solution.

What if you add a "a" project then "c", then "b". Isn't displayed as a,b,c?
If i rename the project "a" to "z" the ordering is updated  then "b","c","z"
(which was formely "a")....

You could perhaps remove/re-add the offending projects and see if they are
placed at the proper location when (re) added to the solution...

Patrice, first i thought the order might be based on creation time /
order. Then named a vb file from "b.vb" to "a.vb" when then the file
came in first order in solution, that meant there was an alphabetical
order.
