Software hardware not working after updates

Couple of months ago, after an update, IE7 would no longer work. Then after
the next update my printer would no longer work. Now after last night
update, my magicjack will no longer work. Always get the have to shutdown
program because of error. Nothing will download and start always get that
message. I'm using windows xp home edition.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hard to say on that info;
You should configure update to only install critical updates and not take
driver updates from winupdate
