Software and BackUp CDs

All of our software was thrown out during Christmas (PC
was present) by accident. The PC then had to be
reconfigured due to IE being corrupted. Is there anyway
that Microsoft will send us BackUp CDs or at least the
license numbers so that we can use Office, especially
Word.

Gateway was of no help - they messed up the PC worse than
it was to begin with and they wanted me to purchase all
new software. I figured I would try here first.

Any help would be great.
 
Did the software that was "thrown out" come with your Gateway computer? If
so it is all OEM software and will have to be replaced by Gateway. They can
charge what they want for the replacement disks.

The license numbers may be available if you can still start the system.
