Socket error

Errors: Unable to initialize Windows Sockets interface,
error code 0 (when I tried to ping 127.0.0.1)

and

"error allocating socket for connection" pops up doring
WinXp boot up.

Need help resolveing this issue.

Hi,
Go to control panel > network connections > right click properties on your
LAN
Uncheck TCP/IP > apply and ok > restart > Check back TCP/IP

Or it could be due to your networkcard is not installed properly
Try unplug it and replug it back. Make sure the correct drivers is properly
installed too.(check in device manager)
