ne1 else experience this issue:

Windows 2000 Professional (fully SP'd & patched). SNMP installed and
working as expected. Upgrade the machine to Windows XP Pro (Fully SP'd &
patched) and SNMP does not respond. Netstat -a shows the machine listening
on UDP 162 as expected, the service shows started and has all of the
configuration that was set when it was 2000 pro and working.

My next step is to uninstall SNMP and re-install it. But if you folks have
any input I'd like to hear it.

Thanks,
Bill

Thanks for the suggestion, I was already working along those lines, but it
turns out they were not related.
So IASperf.dll wasn't loading properly - during the upgrade this file was
"misplaced" right off the system. I simply took a copy from a 2K3 server
and that's all good and well.

I uninstalled, rebooted, and re-installed SNMP but to no avail. The SNMP
service still does not respond to queries from configured sources. I simply
get no response. Testing with GetIF, and What's Up Professional. Both were
working prior to the upgrade to XP.

Thanks,
Bill
