Snapshot and a MAC

Guest

We have PC's and MAC's. I'm using the SendObject command to auto email an
attachment (the attachment is a Snapshot of a report object). My PC users
can just open the snapshot attachement in Outlook. My MAC users (they have
Entrourage) can't...evendentally the MAC doesn't recognize SnapShot file
formats.

Is there another format (besides RTF, because it doesn't include any lines
and boxes on the report) that I can use that both the MAC and PC world can
use?

A caveat: We do have a Citrix server that the MAC users have access to.

Thanks for any suggestions you may have!

I guess you'd need the MS "snapshot viewer" to be available in a Mac
version. An Access report snapshot is not a common or garden variety
fomat, such as txt or doc, that you would expect should open on any PC.
Do some googling & see if here's a snapshot viewer for the Mac.

Could you install a "print to PDF" driver on the PC, print the report
to PDF, then view the PDF on the Macs? Print to PDF will be standard in
the next version of Office, so that might be a good solution. Maybe you
could find a freeware driver to use in the interim.

Both of you should be using PDF documents. You can download a free PDF
Printer Driver from several sources on the web.
