snap to grid

I would like to turn off the snap to grid feature in 2002. Is there any way
to do that? Using Alt each time gets pretty tiresome. Thanks.
 
Display the Drawing toolbar. Click Draw > Grid and uncheck the option
"Snap objects to grid".
