Is it shown on Active Desktop?
To see if it is follow these steps:
1. Right click empty space on desktop and select
Properties
2. Under desktop tab, click customise desktop...
3. Under the Web tab, see if any of the entries are your
graphic.
4. Uncheck it if it is and/or highlight it and click the
delete button
5. There you go, gone
Hope this helps...

I pasted a graphic from an email attachment onto my
desktop. It now cannot be removed. When I right-click
on it, I get the desktop properties window. The graphic
sits on top of the wallpaper. If I remove wallpaper, the
small graphic is still there. A search for the graphic
file came up empty. How can I delete this nuisance? It
does not behave like a shortcut.
