SM Bus Controller Driver

I have an HP Pavilion ZV5000 laptop. Somehow I uninstall a piece of hardware
called the SM Bus Controller.

When Windows reboots it sees the "new" hardware and looks for the driver
both on the system and online, but cannot find it.

I have used the driver recovery CD provided by HP, contacted HP and used the
XP Pro CD to try to reinstall this driver with no success.

I have looked all over the web and had no luck in either identifying what
this does or what i need to correct the problem...

Looking for any advice on this. Thanks!!!!
