Slowshut down

HI, I have a Compaq Presario, Windows XP HOme, AOL 9 SE, I have noticed that
at shut down, it will sign off AOL ok, then it goes to signing off, ok, then
saving your settings, and then that is were the hang up is, use to shut down
really quicker. Haven't installed or did anything different that I know of.
