Slowing down animation

How do I slow down a spiral animation I drew freehand? Even on the "Very
Slow" setting it moves way too fast.

PowerPoint 2003.

Right-click the animation in the custom animation task pane and choose
Effect Options.

In the place where the speed is set to very slow, type in the number of
seconds you want the animation to animate. Then hit Tab on your keyboard,
and then close the dialog box.

Incidentally - Is this in the documentation? - I looked but did not find it.
