Slowed sound

i have windows media player 9

I recently installed 'nimo codecs' pack to get a certain
movie to work.. well now when i try to play mp3s after
about 2 seconds they slow down slightly.. as in the voice
gets a touch lower.. the players speed settings are on 1.0

i tried uninstalling the codec pack.. did nothing
i tried reinstalling windows media player.. didnt helpe
either

should fix you up - look for the 'ctmp3.acm' bit.
