Slow to Populate

I am running XP Pro and Office 2003 Pentium 4 w/ 512 RAM
Suddenly, I have a problem. When I open a PP file it is very slow to
populate the slides. This just started. I have run Repair Office 2003,
defragmented, and restored to point where I did not have problem, all to no
avail.

Any ideas on what may be causing this and fixes?

Any new software or add-in sinstallations?

Could something have turned hardware acceleration on?

Thanks for your response and yhe reference. I turned accelerator off to no
avail. I installed a new printer and the trouble began after that. Could
that have created a problem just for PP?
