Slow startup

How do i take folders out of the startup process, besides through, windows
explorer. Startup Shut down very slow.

Please advise

The first place to look is in the program that is in the program itself. It
may have an option such as "Start when windows starts or start at every boot
or etc.

If this does not work, go to Start/All Programs/Start Up folder and delete
the programs shortcut from there.

If neither of these options apply, go to Start/Run and type: msconfig
and press OK Click the Start Up tab. Look for the program in that list and
remove the check mark.
