slow start up

My Sony Vaio laptop is very,very slow to start up. Then I
get a error message: symlcsvc.exe encountered a problem
and needed to close. This has just recently started. It
takes almost 5 minutes to start up
 
Hi Vicki,

You need to take this up with Symantec support, as that is one of their
files. It indicates a problem in loading some of your Norton's software.
