Slow start up with endnote installed

After I installed Endnote, I've been having a problem with
Word opening quickly. I am also having a problem with opening Word
documents. When I double click on any Word document, Word will open slowly,
but the document will not. Once Word opens, I have to reopen the document
file within Word. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks for any
help!

Does the problem go away if you uninstall EndNote, or at least remove the
EndNote add-in? If so, see if any of these EndNote FAQs help out:
