Slow shutdown

mine does the same, and it is also realy slow to start

up. also some of the more demanding programs dont run as
well as they used to

Try using Startup and shutdown Troubleshooter in help and support center, go to Help and Support Center> Fixing a problem> Startup and shutdown problems> Startup and shutdown Troubleshooter.
