Slow "right click" menu...

Hi all,

I've got Windows XP Pro installed on my Pentium 4/1.7Ghz computer. One thing
I have noticed lately is that my "right click" menu (I'm not sure what to
call it) is very slow to show up, especially when clickingon a file.

For example: Say I open Windows explorer, and I see I file that I want to
delete or rename. I right-click on the file and wait for the menu to show
up. On my computer, it takes 8 to 10 *seconds* before the menu shows up.
This is extremely annoying to me.

Does anyone know if this is normal behavior for Windows XP? I'm used to
Windows ME, and the menus show up immediately after right-clicking on a
file. If not, can anyone suggets a setting or a fix to the problem? Thanks
in advance for any replies.

Viken K.
